A new housing strategy for Lambeth

Lambeth is developing a new housing strategy for the Borough. The housing strategy will be a shared vision for all housing in Lambeth and it will set out how Lambeth will work with partners and residents to improve housing and housing services. This strategy will be coproduced with the community in line with the Council’s ambition to be a cooperative Council by 2014.

Lambeth states it is committed to having a strategy based on a shared set of priorities from our residents and housing partners.

Four key themes have emerged from the previous year's discussinos and Lambeth officers would like to hear your thoughts on what these mean specifically for Lambeth and we can all contribute to delivering these outcomes over the next four years:

•Quality of place (to include priorities around safety and quality of neighbourhood)

•Quality of property (this is across all tenures and will include the Lambeth Housing Standard)

•Greater choice and options in housing (to include statements around affordability, sustainability, more homes for families and the range of tenures available in the borough)

•That Lambeth remains a Borough where vulnerable people and those on low incomes are able to live and are well supported.

Lambeth plans to hold four thematic workshops, details of which are below, and you are invited to as many of them as you feel would be appropriate:

1. Quality of place 3rd April 2pm to 4pm
2. Quality of property 5th April 10am to 12noon
3. Greater choice in housing 10th April 2pm to 4pm
4. Vulnerable people 12th April 2pm to 4pm

All workshops will be held in Lambeth Town Hall.

You can book a place at any or all of the workshops by emailing: housingstrategy@lambeth.gov.uk, by Friday 30th March 2012. Please include the following information in your reply:
